Counselling for Adults

Why Counselling?

People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. You could be feeling stuck, dissatisfied, fed up or out of balance in some way. Anxiety or stress may make it difficult to function fully in your everyday life. Perhaps you are experiencing difficulties in your relationship. You may be struggling to deal with ill health or depression. Whatever is troubling you, I would be very happy to meet with you to see if counselling and therapy could help you.

Sometimes asking for help can be difficult. You may think that you can ‘fix’ things on your own, or by talking to friends and family. There are certainly times when these strategies can help. But you may also feel that what you want to talk about is too personal or private to share with people you know.  Seeking professional help can really help when you’ve reached this point.

How Counselling Can Help

As a counsellor and therapist, I provide a neutral, safe and accepting relationship and space to help you discover more about yourself and your patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. I will work with you to help you find solutions and if appropriate, new and different ways of being and living your life, which feel right for you.

Counselling support can give you greater confidence in understanding yourself and all the resources within you that you can draw upon in your life to feel more fulfilled.  Once you have made the decision to seek professional help, counselling can be a very beneficial and positive experience.
